The tradition of this hacienda goes back more that 400 years, when it belonged to the Jesuits. Some of their coats of arms can be seen in the granaries and storerooms. The hacienda passed through the hands of several owners. The same family owns it from 1864
There were several battles during the Mexican revolution and you can still see bullets holes on the walls of the main house as well as in the chruch.
Because the hacienda vas located on the royal road from Mexico City, it was used as the route to cities such Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi and the entire northen part of the country. For the same reason it was visited by many famous people (Pancho Villa had a picture taken in the main entrance of the house)...
